The display can be mounted anywhere Installation: The product has a gear display plug as Smoku technology, which is connected to the power line and the speed signal line is inserted into the tank below. When the monitor is in place, check the cable for steering damage. Configuration: You need to setup the module after installation. When the ignition is turned on, the display counts backwards (from 6 to 1) to indicate that the memory has been cleared. Use a stand to raise the rear wheels off the ground and start the engine in neutral. An L will appear on the screen to indicate that learning has started. Slowly accelerate the handlebar throttle. ``1'' will flash on the display. Select 1st gear, release the clutch, and keep the RPMs above idle speed. The display will flash faster while the unit is learning the gears. When the display shows "2", select 2nd speed. Repeat this process until all gears (5 or 6) have been considered. The unit is programmed and should display gear correctly. Now, when you turn on the ignition, the display will count in sequence (from 1 to 6) to indicate that it is fully functional. Rest: If some gear is not displaying correctly, please reset the unit and set it up again. If you change gears (install front or rear sprockets) or install a speedometer (or other speedometer calibrator), you'll probably need to reset and set it up again.
