Das Werck "1/35 German Army Trippel SG 6/38 Amphibious Vehicle" plastic model. The Trippel SG 6 is an amphibious vehicle developed by German Hans Trippel in the 1930s and used by the Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS in World War II. In 1935, Trippel produced a prototype off-road type amphibious vehicle with a running gear built into a boat-shaped body and showed it to Nazi executives. He then developed an amphibious passenger car called the SG 6 at his own factory in Homburg. Trippel won an order for 20 SG 6s from the German military and produced them from 1938 to 1940. In order to sell the SG 6 to the Italian military, Trippel demonstrated it by driving overland from Homburg to Naples and then floating it over the sea to the island of Capri. The first model produced from 1938 was called the SG 6/38, and the new amphibious vehicle mass-produced at the Molsheim car factory in Alsace from 1941 was called the SG 6/41. Full-scale production of the Type 166 Schwimwagen began around the fall of 1942 and it became widely deployed in units, while production of the SG 6/41 ended around 1943. Although it varies depending on the source, it is said that the number of SG6 produced is around 200 to 1,000 cars including SG 6/38 and SG 6/41. Etched parts and 5 types of marking variations are included. *This product is a plastic model that requires assembly and painting. *Adhesive, tools, paint, etc. are required separately for assembly and painting. *"Plastic model" is a registered trademark owned by the Japan Plastic Model Industry Cooperative. *This product does not include adhesives, paint, tools, batteries, etc. Safety Warning Not applicable
