The Superconductor features four different boost circuits in a small pedal format. rm: A silicon interpretation of the classic germanium treble booster of the 60s. Using a unique setup of two low-gain silicon transistors in parallel, we were able to produce a sound that would convince even NOS OC44 enthusiasts. Use it to push an already overdriven amp or to add presence and bite to a darker sounding setup. ep: JFET preamp – Gain stage based on the preamp circuit of an early 70s tape echo unit, running true to the original spec 24V DC power supply via an internal voltage boost. This tone enhancer is known for its mysterious coloring and for giving your sound extra focus and detail. ma: An opamp boost based on the clean and "transparent" volume boosters of the late 70s/early 80s. This circuit is a "reference" for bigger solos. Use it to run long signal chains with low output impedance or to drive your amp harder and into natural saturation. mf: Based on the super-transparent, high input impedance MOSFET boost of the late 90s. This interpretation doesn't crackle but still retains the massive clean boost with pristine highs sonic identity of the circuit it was modelled after. WARNING: This unit is for 9V DC input only. Do not use with higher voltage power supplies.
