This tone enhancer is known for its mysterious coloring and for giving your sound extra focus and detail. ma: An opamp boost based on the clean and "transparent" volume boosters of the late 70s/early 80s. This circuit is a "reference" for bigger solos. Use it to run long signal chains with low output impedance or to drive your amp harder and into natural saturation. mf: Based on the super-transparent, high input impedance MOSFET boost of the late 90s.
