Cut the spring seat to 1.35 inch outside diameter. Cut guide to 0.775 inch. Cut the seat and install the large spring and hardened spring seat into the GM Vortec head without having to harden the hardened spring seat. Other sheet cutters come in many sizes ranging from 1.35" to 1.8" outside diameter.
Most high performance engines today require the use of larger diameter valve springs than stock. This 1.35" spring seat cutter is for installing single springs on GM Vortec Heads without hardening the spring seat, allowing engine builders to machine the cylinder head to the correct size for the spring.
