1972 Reproduced Fischer Spassky Stanton Pattern Chess Set Version 2.0: Chess Bazaar offers an improved version of the Fischer Spassky set in Sheesham Wood and Boxwood. The king proudly measures 3.75 (tournament size) inches and the base is a sturdy 1.6 inch. Proportioned from king to pawn, with a wider base and superior size, every piece shows true intricate craftsmanship. The dark chess pieces are expertly crafted from Sheesham wood. All chess pieces are professionally carved in India and weighted for a great feel and a very nice sound on the wooden chess board. The opposite piece is made of boxwood, which is traditionally used for the white side. It's one of the easiest woods to make and shows beautiful detail. This set comes with a free queen for easy pawn promotion. All chess pieces have wide bases with pristine cut green felt pads for smooth movement on the chess board.
