Positive molding uses extreme pressure to compress the friction material and bond it to the backing plate. This process ensures consistent friction material density throughout the pad. The result is uniform wear and performance characteristics throughout the life of the brake pad. The number one cause of customer returns is noise and vibration. Centric Parts recognizes this issue and is constantly improving its products to resolve these issues. Posi Quiet brake friction features a precisely cut or shaved backing plate and mechanically installed shims. These small details ensure a proper fit to the caliper and virtually eliminate noise associated with pad vibration. In addition to these features, Centric Parts has added a burn process to all Posi Quiet brake pads. This additional process forces impurities from the friction material and pre-burns the pad to greatly accelerate the break-in process. All Posi Quiet brake pad friction formulas are asbestos-free and available in three application-specific compounds. Comes with all necessary hardware for installation.
