Castle ESC settings can be easily optimized via a Windows PC via the Castle USB adapter (free adapter included with purchase) through the Castle Link app, or wirelessly using the Castle B-LINK Bluetooth adapter (sold separately) and the free Castle Link app. The Mamba Micro X2 does not include an internal BEC, but does come with a free external 10 amp CC BEC from Castle Creations. This upgraded BEC has a wider range of BEC voltages and higher current capacity.

These improvements allow the Micro X2 to gear more aggressively and run faster and harder/longer with higher input voltages. The Micro X2 also features the addition of Data Logging. Users can log real-time data such as motor RPM, battery ripple, ESC, motor temperature and throttle input. Data Logging performance data allows users to adjust settings to maximize both performance and battery life. The Mamba Micro X2 uses a programmable auxiliary wire, allowing users to make "on-the-go" adjustments to multiple settings such as torque control and maximum throttle to fine-tune the performance of the ESC from the transmitter. The Mamba Micro X2 ESC is ready to go right out of the box. It can also be "tuned" to the driver's preferences, including throttle curve, brake strength and reverse lockout mode. These features are easily accessible with the free Castle Link USB adapter (coupon enclosed in the box) and Castle's simple programming interface on your Windows PC. There's also convenient transmitter programming with the B-LINK Bluetooth adapter (sold separately) and the free Castle Link app on Google Play or the Apple App Store for smartphone-based programming of six common adjustable settings and options.
