Candy Land is a simple racing board game in which eager young players travel along a rainbow covered path. It's an effort to reach Home Sweet Home by progressing through Peppermint Forest and Gumdrop Mountain first. To move the Gingerbread Man marker along the path, players simply draw one of the color cards to advance the marker to the next square of the same color. No reading required, ideal as a first board game for children. Designed for preschoolers ages 3 to 6, Candy Land encourages socialization in play with others, patience in waiting one's turn, color recognition, and practice learning the rules.
