With a groundbreaking announcement from the EBC R&D facility in Ohio, the GPFAX sintered road race brake pad range will soon be launched, offering significant benefits over previous compounds in the GPFAX brake pad range. These new pads have been track tested by over a dozen teams and are all rider approved and currently preferred GPFAX grades. Early lab tests show this dyno's performance curve after bedding, maximizing brake friction and reducing "in-stop" braking variation. Track testing also improved the new material's "Heat Cycling" capabilities. This means you can race the pads, let them cool, and repeat the exact same braking characteristics when raced again. GPFAX Sintered Road Race Brake Pads are closed circuit used pads only and street/highway driving with this material is highly recommended and dangerous.

A breakthrough product from the EBC R&D facility in Ohio will soon launch the GPFAX sintered road race brake pad range, bringing significant benefits to the GPFA brake pad range. These new pads have been track tested by over 12 teams and unanimously approved by all riders, who currently prefer the GPFAX grade. Initial lab testing demonstrated this dyno curve performance after bedding, resulting in maximum brake friction improvement and reduced "in-stop" braking variation. Track tests have shown that the new material's "Heat Cycling" ability means it's even better, meaning you can race the pads, cool them down and repeat the exact same braking characteristics when racing again. This material builds quickly from an initial friction level of 0.6 (which itself is a fairly high braking friction level rarely found in competitive materials), down to 0.7, and a stopping friction level of 0.65. This small drop during braking 07 - 0.65 is almost undetectable by the rider, allows for excellent brake feedback and control at the lever, and allows for reliable brake blur during deceleration. This new material has more wear and lower rotor/disc damage with the previous material and is suitable for 4-5 race events with a typical minimum 20-25 lap duration. Discard the pad if the friction material is less than 2.5 mm to avoid liquid vapor lock due to excessive piston fluid volume. GPFAX sintered road race brake pads are closed circuit used pads only, street/highway driving with this material is not recommended and dangerous. The kind of high friction level this pad provides makes it suitable for ideal track conditions for race tires and slicks on asphalt surfaces, and not for use on highways or highways. This material has not undergone ECE R 90 approval and TUV testing with German ABE and is illegal for use on highways in many countries.
