Panel/cylindrical air filters are commonly referred to as "replacement air filters." Installed into your vehicle's original air box to replace the OEM air filter. Made of high-performance materials, it promotes airflow combined with more efficient filtration to trap all impurities smaller than 7 microns (compared to OEM's 10 microns). BMC air filters are manufactured using a "full molding" system, resulting in a distinctive red filter from a single mold with no welded joints and are not easily damaged. The rubber used in BMC air filtering systems is long-lasting, extremely durable, and has adhesive properties that are ideal for airboxes of all shapes. BMC filters are made of multi-layer cotton gauze soaked in low viscosity oil covered with an epoxy coated alloy mesh to protect against gasoline fumes and oxidation due to air humidity. All BMC air filters are pre-oiled and can be cleaned and reconditioned using the appropriate BMC reconditioning kit.
