Size: (cup) approx. 7.5 x 8.8 cm (wooden box) 19 x 11.5 x 10 cm / Capacity: approx. 200 ml A pair of Bizen ware shochu glasses. From everyday drinks to gifts, you're sure to be satisfied. No two pieces are the same color or pattern, and the charm of handcrafted items is that they become more appealing the more you use them. [Make your evening drink a special moment] Bizen ware is a pair of shochu glasses made from Bizen ware produced around the Imbe area of Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture. Bizen ware has a dense internal structure, so its specific heat is large. Therefore, it has strong heat retention ability, making it difficult to get hot and cold. It has fine irregularities and high foaming ability, and the bubbles are fine and have a long lifespan, so the scent does not escape. Also, alcohol, whiskey, and wine have an enhanced aroma and a mellow, full-bodied taste. [Historical Traditional Craft] Bizen ware is a type of pottery that is molded one by one from high-quality clay, dried, and then fired as is without painting or glazing, so the earthy flavor is well expressed. All pieces are unique as no two pieces have the same shape or grilled taste. [What is Bizen ware] Bizen ware dates back to the Kofun period. The manufacturing method for Sue ware changed, and it settled into its current form from the Kamakura period to the Momoyama period. ``Bizen ware'' produced in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture is one of Japan's six oldest kilns, and is a simple pottery that allows you to enjoy the characteristics of the earth. The biggest feature is that it is fired as is, without painting or glazing. Because they are individually molded, they are all unique in shape and grilled taste. Bizen ware, which is baked for around 10 days at a high temperature of over 1,200 degrees Celsius, is dense and strong, and its surface has delicate irregularities and slight air permeability, giving it excellent heat retention. Due to these characteristics, it is widely used as tableware that enhances the deliciousness of dishes and drinks.
