In this winter landscape with a bird trap painting, we see a group of people taking to a frozen lake to test their ice skating abilities. It was probably a quicker way to travel the village than walking when the boats were not moving. The painting is based on what is thought to be the Brabant village of Fede Saint-Ant, near Dibben. The undertones of this painting suggest that traps are ready to capture suspicious birds. There are holes in the ice, like holes in the ice, that could catch the unsuspecting ice skaters. This tranquil and beautiful snowy landscape has more to it than it seems. Pieter Bruegel the Younger was a Flemish Renaissance artist of the late 1500s and early 1600s, famous for his artworks that depict the wickedness of mankind and peasant life. He was influenced by his father Pieter Bruegel the Elder, an artist in the same vein. Â Dimensions: Â(1000 pieces) 66 x 50cm bread>Number of pieces: Â1000 bread>
