This is a plastic model of Barom's ``1/72 British Army de Havilland DH.91 Albatross 4-engine passenger aircraft Fiona 1943 Air Force type''. This aircraft was developed as a long-distance mail aircraft capable of crossing the Atlantic Ocean. It was equipped with four gypsy engines and had a cruising range of 1675km. It could carry 22 passengers and seven aircraft were manufactured starting in 1939. When the war broke out, the manufactured aircraft were taken over and operated by the Royal Air Force. Fiona was delivered to Imperial Airways in 1939.
