AUTOart 1/18 scale, composite model. The famous Lotus 72 is Team Lotus' F1 machine designed by Colin Chapman and Maurice Philippe. It made its debut at the 1970 Spanish Grand Prix and won a total of 20 wins and three constructors' championships. A Ford Cosworth DFV 3-liter V8 engine is mounted vertically in the middle of the aluminum monocoque chassis. Innovative designs include an aerodynamically advantageous wedge-shaped body shape that placed the radiator, which had previously been common knowledge in the front, in the left and right side pods, as well as the adoption of a suspension torsion bar and inboard brakes. Ta. Starting with the Spanish GP of the 1973 season, the updated 72E was introduced to accommodate changes in regulations. Ronnie Peterson, who joined Lotus this year, won four races, and Emerson Fittipaldi, who won the world's youngest world championship the previous year, won three races.Although they unfortunately missed out on the drivers' title, Team Lotus Won the constructors' championship in 1973. The ``AutoArt Composite Model'' (patent pending) uses a proprietary combination of ``ABS'' for the body and ``die-cast'' for the inner body. By making the most of the advantages of each material, we are able to achieve high rigidity and weight comparable to die-cast models, while also reproducing eye-poppingly realistic and sharp body lines, and with a more accurate chisel than die-cast bodies. A ``completely new'' innovative model car that allows parts to be assembled and opened and closed.
