This is a plastic model of AFV Club's ``1/35 U.S. Army M113 ACAV Armored Cavalry Fighting Vehicle.'' It is an improved version of the M113 armored personnel carrier used in the Vietnam War. Added a curved armor plate around the commander's cupola and a mantlet to the 12.7mm heavy machine gun M2. Furthermore, some vehicles were equipped with additional equipment such as an M60 machine gun with a mantlet on the body, and other measures were taken to strengthen the defense power with wire mesh and sandbags. After 1965, the M113 was expanded and became the basic form of the American military during the Vietnam War. Most of the expansion was done in Vietnam, with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment in the United States taking the lead. From then on, the expanded M113 became known as the Armored Cavalry Fighting Vehicle (ACAV). The interior of the M113 vehicle body and cockpit/troop room are precisely reproduced, and the installation of machine guns and mantlets can be selected.
