FOR THE GEARBOX: The 7R Gearbox has a thicker final output gear, internally different sized shafts, and is much stronger nylon than the old #7 gearbox. The orange output gearbox is definitely #7R. Some 7Rs come with a white output shaft. 7R parts and motors are not compatible with older gearboxes. Experience has shown that if one old gearbox is peeling off, the other is not far behind. Be smart and replace them both.
