Burago is an Italian brand that was the first in the world to sell heavy 1/18 scale models as products that were both affordable and highly complete. Blago was founded in 1976 by Mario and Ugo Martino, three brothers from the Besana family, in a town called Blago di Morgola, near the Monza circuit where the Italian Grand Prix of F1 is held. Blago's die-cast model cars are affordable, yet have long been well-regarded for their well-organized proportions typical of an Italian brand and the glossy finish of their baked-on bodies. Production has now been entrusted to the Maisto brand company. This idea has been carried forward to this day.
