In Jorvik, players take on the role of head of a Viking clan that has settled in this northern region of England. Over four seasons of the year, players can supply their craftsmen with goods brought to the town by trading ships, or Purchase cards to increase your trade influence in Jorvik, such as by helping to defend your town from Pictish attacks. This game has a unique card purchase mechanic. Players first indicate their interest among the cards available for purchase, and then gain the right to purchase cards from the first player to indicate their interest. But beware, it's expensive! The sooner you show interest in a particular card, the more other players can compete on price, and the more expensive that card will be.
