This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the Sd.Kfz.164 Hornisse, an anti-tank self-propelled gun developed by the German army in World War II, on a 1/35 scale. A plastic model that requires assembly and painting. Separate tools, paint, etc. are required.
The model is a 1/35 scale reproduction of the Sd.Kfz.164, the strongest anti-tank self-propelled gun developed by the German army during World War II. This is a reproduction of the early model of the Nasshorn, which was called the Hornisse. The mechanical and powerful style with the open-top fighting compartment and long-barreled 8.8cm gun mounted on the III/IV platform is very attractive. The lower part of the chassis uses a slide mold to recreate details on the sides in three-dimensional detail, making it easy to assemble. The shape of the leaf spring suspension, road wheels, maneuvering wheels, and guide wheels are also accurately reproduced. The upper part of the vehicle is realistically modeled, including the floor of the battle compartment at the rear of the vehicle. The armor plate surrounding the battle compartment can be assembled with separate parts for each side. I'm looking forward to the complete reproduction of the many equipment inside the battle compartment. Of course, the main character is the 8.8cm gun. The mechanical finish includes not only the sharp long barrel, but also the gun mount, gun base, and operating handle. The shape of the mantlet has also been faithfully reproduced. This kit is a must-see for fans of German vehicles, as it can be carefully finished by adding details, or it can be used to create scenes by combining figures. The markings are set for vehicles belonging to the 525th Heavy Tank Destroyer Battalion and the 560th Heavy Tank Destroyer Battalion.
