-The Messerschmitt Bf110 is a twin-engine heavy fighter aircraft of the German army that was active throughout the entire period of World War II. It played an active role in supporting ground forces during the invasion operations in the early stages of the war. However, due to its poor turning performance, it had a difficult time in dogfights with British fighters such as Spitfires during the Battle of Britain. Even so, the night fighter version equipped with a radar took advantage of its speed and was successful in shooting down Allied bombers and playing an active role in air defense. The first flight was in May 1936. Unit deployment began in 1939. -The E type was produced from August 1940 to January 1942 as a long-range fighter-bomber with increased bomb loading under the wings and fuselage. The E-2 type is equipped with a B601P engine. The E-2Trop is equipped with tropical air filters, a cover for the machine gun in the nose, and a large oil cooler. The E-2Trop was used in the North African campaign due to its long cruising range and four guns in the nose. It was widely used for ground attacks due to its heavy armament with machine guns and large bomb load. This is an impressive model that can only be seen on a 1/32 scale with a total length of 377mm and a total width of 506mm. Not only the appearance such as the fuselage shape and wing shape, but also the panel lines and rivets are reproduced in detail. The DB601P engine is precisely modeled inside the engine cowl. The large canopy makes it easy to see the cockpit even after completion, and the interior, including the instrument panel, equipment, and seats, is finished with a sense of density. Since it's a large model, it's fun to try your hand at improving the details. Landing gear can be assembled by selecting parked state or stowed flight state. When the aircraft is parked, the details of the inside of the leg storage and the legs are reproduced as you would expect from a big scale model, making it a sight to behold. Of course, the E-2Trop has various equipment and improved parts that are unique to the E-2 Trop for use in the hot North Africa and Mediterranean areas, such as the engine nacelle, machine gun cover, and improved parts to be equipped with a deep oil cooler housing and tropical filter. Accurately reproduced with new parts such as the nose section where the air intake with a square opening is reproduced, larger diameter tires and reinforced landing gear. In addition, a decal set with 4 types of markings to choose from is also included.
