This is a 1/72 scale "Kitamaebune" wooden sailing ship model from WoodyJOE. Kitamaebune is a large cargo sailing ship that operated from Hokkaido to Osaka via Shimonoseki on the Sea of Japan coast (westward) from the Edo period to the early Meiji period. Unlike the Hishigaki Kaisen that operated on the Pacific side (to the east), the ship's hull was significantly curved in order to cope with the rough waves of the Sea of Japan. The kit comes with an easy-to-understand color instruction manual and most of the parts are precisely laser processed to ensure ease of assembly. The appearance has been reproduced as faithfully as possible. (The invisible internal structure and interior of the ship are not shown) *This product is a wooden model that requires assembly. *Adhesive, tools, paint, etc. are required separately for assembly and painting.
