This is a 1/150 scale wooden architectural model of "Edo Castle" from WoodyJOE. The castle was built by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1606 (11th year of Keicho era), followed by Hidetada, the second shogun in 1622 (8th year of Genna), and Iemitsu, the third shogun in 1638 (15th year of Kan'ei era), each of whom rebuilt the castle. The castle tower built by Iemitsu was destroyed by the Great Meireki Fire in 1657 (Meireki 3rd year), and the castle tower was never rebuilt after that. The 5-story, 5-story, 1-basement tower on top of the castle tower is 44.8 meters high, and the stone wall is over 12 meters high, and it could be seen from the town of Edo, towering over the tower. The height from the castle town is approximately 80 meters. The kit is reproduced in 1/150 scale in detail based on the architectural drawings of Kan'ei Castle Tower, books and literature. The main parts are precision-processed wooden parts, mainly laser parts, the metal parts are 24k plated shachihoko, and the gable decorations are made of brass etching, recreating the magnificent Edo Castle tower of the past. The structure of the castle tower has been newly designed with emphasis on ease of construction. The stone wall comes with a mount with a mounting pattern, and a cut gauge for the rafters and roof is included, so you can expect a higher degree of completion.
