Nico Model "1/700 Dutch Navy Light Cruiser Java 1942" resin kit. Construction began on this cruiser, which was planned by the Dutch for colonial security purposes, before World War I. However, construction was interrupted due to the outbreak of World War I, and it was not completed until the 1920s. The ship was designed and built by the German company Krupp, so it has a typical German ship design. Her main gun was equipped with 10 single 15cm Bofors cannons, and at the time of modern renovation, she was equipped with two 40mm twin cannons, as well as a mine dropping device. At the beginning of World War II, she advanced to the Dutch East Indies to protect the colonies and took on missions such as escorting convoys, but when Japan entered the war, she took part in the Battle of Bali. She also participated in the Battle of Surabaya, but at the end of the battle, she was sunk by a torpedo attack by the Japanese heavy cruiser Nachi Haguro, along with the Allied commander Rear Admiral Dollman's ship De Ruyter.
