Package Contents: 2 x Flex Pipe Installation: Welding How to install flex pipe. 1. Use a wrench to grab the bolt that secures the flex pipe to the muffler flange. Turn counterclockwise and remove. Then pull the flex pipe out of the flange. 2. Remove the clamp securing the flex pipe to the exhaust downpipe. 3. Pull out the old gasket that was between the flex pipe and the muffler flange. Then clean the flange. 4. Hammer out a dent from the end of the exhaust downpipe. Loosen the nuts holding the muffler and downpipe. 5. Coat the new muffler gasket with exhaust sealer, place it into the muffler flange, and install the new flex pipe end. 6. Coat the end of the downpipe with more exhaust sealant and place the free end of the new flexpipe over it. Adjust the position of the muffler and downpipe until the flex pipe is straight and there is no tension. 7. Thread the bolt through the hole in the end of the flex pipe attached to the muffler flange. Tighten to secure the pipe to the flange. 8. Place the new clamp around the flex pipe where it meets the down pipe and tighten. Retighten the bolts that secure the muffler and downpipe, and cut the plastic tie around the flex pipe.
