The Ferrocerium rod's unique hexagonal profile features six flat surfaces that provide a large contact area and create a bright flame that looks more like a campfire flame than a spark. Easy to ignite even at high altitudes, in bad weather, and even when wet. PERFECT FLAT SURFACE PROFILE - Hexå is making a difference with its 5/16" (8mm) flat profile design. This provides greater control and efficiency, with a wider surface contact area. Melt more ferrocerium. INCLUDED STRAP & MULTI-TOOL - Each fire rod comes with a full-grain leather strap and a straight striker with no distortion, tinder scraper, map scale, ruler, and hexagon.
