The scales are arranged in the same order as the piano scales, making them easy to pick up even for beginners, and perfect for improvisational performances. The kalimba is made of high-quality black walnut wood, and features a crisp sound, excellent sustain, and bright treble. The body is smooth to the touch, and the keys are spaced 9.5mm apart. We have applied for an international patent based on the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). All keys can be tuned with a tuning hammer.
