The Merlin Natural Mahogany SG has a rock maple neck-through structure, a solid mahogany top and a 3-piece rock maple back. The fret spacing is not chromatic (half-tone) like a guitar, but major scale (major scale), so it is recommended for children and the elderly who are touching string instruments for the first time. The strings are ball-end strings like acoustic guitars, and the 1st and 2nd strings of the 4 strings are main and secondary strings (same note D). It has a beautiful sound and excellent volume balance with other strings. Strings 1-3 are plain strings, and only string 4 is a wound string. The tuning is D (1st and 2nd strings), A (3rd string), D (4th string).
