The Sendai City Subway Tozai Line is a linear subway that opened in 2015 and has an operating distance of 13.9 km between Yagiyama Dobutsukoen Station and Arai Station. The 2000 series vehicles currently in operation as of 2022 have been active since the company's opening, and there are currently 15 trains in service. The crescent moon line inspired by the placket of a helmet on the front of the lead car has been commercialized with a silver band formation.
