The body was redesigned by Gandhi, changing the shape of the front fender and front spoiler, and eliminating the periscope. This popular styling was later adopted in the LP400S and 5000QV, and it was a car that greatly contributed to the rebuilding of Lamborghini, which was in financial crisis at the time.
