Trim cutout sometimes solves trim problems, such as trim only working in one direction, trim not working at all. We recommend replacing both trim relays at the same time. One low relay may cause the entire trim to fail. A simple 5 minute fix, the trim relay is usually located on the starboard side of the motor. You will need to disconnect some wires to reach them. If your old relay had "Hangtag connectors" with rubber spacers, leave them and install them on the new relay. If you've already thrown it away, don't worry. You may need to use spacers to ensure a snug fit when screwing in the relay.
