Fw Acrylic Ink is available in 44 colors including metallic and fluorescent. Once dry, it is waterproof and lightfast. This ink can be applied using the dropper provided. It can be applied with a paintbrush or pen. It can be sprayed with an airbrush. Fw Acrylic Ink can be diluted with water and washed.
The major development in inks in recent years has been the increased use of pigments and acrylic resins. The difference between dye-based inks and pigment inks is that the color concentration is slightly reduced, but the resistance to fading is greatly improved. Fw Artist's inks are acrylic-based pigmented, waterproof inks (for most surfaces) in a range of 38 colors, all of which are 3 or 4 star permanently rated. Such high lightfastness with a range of fully mixable colors makes them ideal for use by artists for permanent display. However, they can actually be diluted to produce very similar tones to watercolors. Such washes dry to a waterproof film on almost any surface and can be layered with successive layers of color. Fw Artist's inks work well through airbrushes and technical pens.
