The high quality synthetic bristles are stiff but still very responsive and the Catalyst polytip holds water with real consistency. The ends of each hair are split to replicate the finest natural hair, giving the Catalyst a high capacity to hold the paint while smoothing the application. Designed for use with thick acrylic and oil paints, the Catalyst is capable of moving heavy gel media.
