Our unique, carefully balanced blend of multiple diameter synthetic filaments and natural hair varieties produces the more reliable pointing and clean brush edges that Mongoose offers, while also being absorbent and durable. Brush bells trap thinner paints and glazes with this formula, allowing you to glaze while maintaining fine precision. Like Mongoose, the balanced blend gives hair strength that allows you to paint with heavy body paints for an even more impactful application. Unlike Mongoose, some of the synthetic filaments allow it to wash off more easily and completely, returning to shape for your next painting session. Creative Mark's Hamburg Professional Synthetic Blending Brushes are expertly handcrafted by world-class German brush makers. Each brush is created in an 8-step process. First, the hair is carefully blended and meticulously pinched into precise bundles of shape and size by our skilled brush dressers. The bundles are then hand tied, shaped, measured, and placed into nickel-plated brass ferrules and secured in place with polyurethane adhesive. Once dry, the ferrules are glued to the handle and then double crimped at the deepest points to hold the brush firmly in place. The handles of the Hamburg brushes are hardwood birch, sustainably controlled harvested from Bavarian and Baltic forests (FSC certified). Fashioned to provide a perfectly balanced feel. Each handle is primed and goes through multiple applications of lacquer coatings, giving the handle a smoothly polished deep black color. The Hamburg Fan Brush follows the same process but is designed with 100% Badger hair and is intended to provide the best blending results.
