This is a mother-of-pearl work made by pasting thin pieces of bivalves such as natural abalone shellfish onto a base material. This is a beautiful piece that utilizes the techniques that have been passed down. Due to the characteristics of the ``sharidashi technique'', in which a pattern is first applied, a coating material is applied several times on top of the pattern, and then the surface is polished to make it finer, the product is resistant to heat and moisture, and is not only used as a work of art. It is also highly valued as a durable and practical product.
